Known for its comprehensive curriculum, Boot Camp is full day of hands-on water-bath and pressure canning, emphasizing safety. A buffet lunch, snacks, drinks, and class materials are included!
Masters Classes are for Boot Camp graduates who love cooking classes and want to finesse their canning knowledge.
Classes are held at our commercial cannery at 1941 Hart Road, Lebanon, Ohio. The cannery is part of a private residence -- guests are welcome only if they’ve registered for a class. All other guests should visit our culinary shop, The Jam and Jelly Lady, located at 20 S. Broadway, Lebanon, Ohio.
Culinary classes require extensive preparation and cost, and seating is limited to provide a hands-on experience. As such, classes are pre-paid and all sales are final. Refunds are issued only if requested within 48 hours of registration -- and two weeks before the class date -- and will incur a $10 service charge. If you are unable to make it to a class, you may transfer your registration into another person’s name. To do this, send a message using the contact page. Please state your name, the name of the person to whom you are transferring the class, and the date and name of the class.
If you cannot register through this website, you may call or visit the shop at 513-932-8246 to register. (Note: our website keeps track the number of seats left in a class, so if you call or visit the shop, the clerks may take your payment information but might have to check the system later to see if there is room in the class. They will not run your credit card until they are sure there is room for your party.)
Minimum age: 18 years.
Shop hours: T-F 11-5, Sat 10:30-5, Sun 12-4.
